Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026 · Version 1 (alpha)
These terms apply to your use of Quince Render Lab ("the Lab") at lab.quincemedia.com, operated by Quince Creative ("we"). By signing in or using the cloud features you accept them. Using the Lab only locally, without an account, is covered by sections 2 to 4 and 8.
1. Alpha service
The Lab is an early (alpha) version. It changes often, it can contain mistakes, and its cloud storage and accounts may be reset or removed. We provide it "as is", without warranty. Keep your own copy of important work as a .qproj file (File → Save to file) and export results you need.
2. Your content
Your models, textures, images, projects and renders are yours. We do not claim any rights to them. You give us only the permission needed to store, process and show them to the people you choose, so that the Lab works. You are responsible for having the right to use the files you load (for example, a client's model or a licensed texture).
3. Acceptable use
- No illegal content, and nothing that infringes other people's rights.
- No attempts to break, overload or bypass the Lab or its limits, no automated mass sign-ups or uploads, and no sharing of access to other people's accounts.
- No use of the cloud storage as a general file hosting or backup service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or put the service or others at risk.
4. Results you make
Renders, PNG images and GLB files you export are yours to use, including commercially, as long as you have the rights to the models and textures that went into them. The Lab may add an optional watermark that you can switch off.
5. Free allowance
The free cloud allowance is limited: currently 150 MB of files per account, files up to 50 MB, 5 projects, and 20 saved renders per project. We may change the limits, and we may introduce paid plans; changes will be announced in the Lab. Rendering itself runs on your computer and is not limited.
6. Sharing
When you share a project with other people or create a share link, they can see what you share. You are responsible for what you share and with whom, and you can stop sharing at any time.
7. Availability and liability
We do not guarantee that the Lab will be available, error-free, or that your files will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost work, lost profit or lost data) arising from the use of the Lab. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Third-party components
The Lab is built on open-source components (for example three.js, three-gpu-pathtracer, Intel Open Image Denoise and OpenCascade), each under its own license.
9. Ending
You can stop using the Lab and delete your projects at any time, and ask us to delete your account. We may end or change the service; where we can, we will give notice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. If you keep using the Lab after a change, the new terms apply.
